Euro-IX Patrons
Euro-IX Patron's Code of Conduct
All Euro-IX Patron's must agree to and adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

1.3 Where invited, it is perfectly appropriate for patrons to explain their products and services from the forum platform.
1.4 One-to-one sales and support activities with individual IXP members, especially if directly requested by the member concerned, are considered acceptable and appropriate.
1.5 Patrons are expected to show appropriate respect to other patrons at forum events, and not to indulge in making negative or derogatory comments about the products and services of other patrons, either in private or in public.
1.6 Patrons are encouraged to attend Euro-IX Forums and where possible, for consistency purposes, a dedicated representative(s) should be chosen
1.7 Patrons are encouraged to take part in forum discussions.
2. Mailing lists
2.1 Patrons are not expected to use the Euro-IX mailing lists as direct promotional vehicles for their products and services.
2.2 Patrons are expected to show appropriate respect to other patrons on
all Euro-IX mailing lists, and not to indulge in making negative or
derogatory comments about the products and services of other patrons.
3. Relationships with IXPs
Patrons are expected to offer the full range of their products and services to Euro-IX full or associate member IXPs under standard commercial terms or better.
Note for clarity: Euro-IX does not seek to interfere in the commercial
relationship between patrons and Euro-IX members, but it does not expect
patrons to unreasonably withhold the supply of their products or services.
The reference to "commercial terms or better" is simply to acknowledge that
sometimes patrons see the advantage of offering discounts or preferential
terms to IXPs.
4. Euro-IX logo
Patrons are not expected to use the Euro-IX logo in such a manner that
it implies that they, their products or their services have been in any
way endorsed or approved by Euro-IX.
